How long will it take for me to learn to swim good enough to surf. I can’t swim at all (blame my parents) so I will be taking swimming lessons. The main reason is to then learn to surf

Q&A: Where to stay in Costa Rica?
My boyfriend and I are flying to Costa Rica this month. We are staying for 10 days and want to stay on the Pacific side. We both love to have fun, are adventurous, surf, enjoy just enough night life, want to see the beaches and the mountains.
What city/town/area would you recommend staying in considering all those things. I don’t want to stay in towns that are too Americanized or commercialized but we don’t want to be completely alone either. Happy median?

Question: What is the best place to learn to surf at Cocoa Beach?
Okay, so my family and I going to Florida and Cocoa Beach. My cousin and myself want to learn how to surf while we are there. I searched online and all the prices are similar or the same. I was looking at Ron Jon’s Surf School, Bilt Surf and Skate, Cocoa Beach Surf Comany, and others where new begginers can learn to surf. So my question is what place is the best or where did you have a good experience?

Question: Which coastal area to visit in Costa Rica?
We are a 60-something grandma, a 40-something mom, and a 7-year-old girl. We’re planning to do Arenal and Monteverde, and then spend 2-3 days on the coast. We’re interested in scenery, wildlife, hiking, and swimming. We’re not into nightlife, surfing, or fishing. We’d prefer a quiet, safe area. Which coastal area would be best? We’re going in late May. Any hotel recommendations?

What should I do on the last free day on Oahu, Hawaii?
I have been here for 2 weeks and have been to most of the places I wanted to go.
Today’s a last day I spend by myself.
I went to olani palace, kamehameha king statue, queen emma summer palace, northshore, blowhole, aloha stadium, pearl harbor, beaches, dole plantation, bishopmuseum, diamond head and surfing.
I am sore from surfing so I want to have a not busy day. but want to try something new!
There’s somethings planned tomorrow, polynesian cultural center to see luau!

Question: Do you prefer the rocky coast of New England or the rolling surf of California?
I prefer the latter, even though I live in Maine; maybe if I were a painter–it is extraordinarily beautiful.
