The answer in the following:

Answer by judo
Mermaid items that are NOT Disney’s mermaid are going to be pretty hard to find at this time of year.
Try Oriental Trading Company, online, they may still have their summer beach and surfing themes available… and if they do, they will be discounted !
Good luck, it sounds like a fun time !

Answer by tamara k
I’d focus on the surfing element rather than the mermaid one, you can get lots of little surfing nick nacks cheaply to fill the boys bags, and it is easy to get ‘surfy’ stuff in the colours you want.

Another thing, it is AMAZING what you can do with a computer and printer these days- download some of the images from the movie and print them out- smaller images can be cut out and glued to disposable dinner ware so that it matches the theme, put holes in images and thread straws through them for fancy straws, you can make party bags with them. Really the possibilities are endless!

The answer in the following:

Answer by Griffin
Swimming in the ocean is a whole lot more difficult. It is also a lot more dangerous as well if you are not very used to swimming. The rip tide, the waves, and other currents make it very hazardous. If you are just learning how to swim and have only taken a few swimming lessons, then surfing will be a little bit off for you. A person can be fairly competent at swimming within a year with practice.

WHAT DO YOU THINK THIS GUY THOUGHT OF ME?!?!?!?(what would you think?)?
I was at the Kalahari indoor waterpark (Wisconsin Dells), and went body surfing. This was yesterday. When I was body surfing, my bikini top flew up! I I was by the wall. I opened my eyes, and this really hot life guard was holding a white towel around/ infront of me! Being a 13 year old girl, this was VERY embarressing! I was up there with him holding the towel for like 35 sec! Thats a really long time for that. . . haha .
This is what he said:

“It’s ok”

“Uhhhhh. . . you’re top kinda. . . .”

“Take you’re time”

“It’s ok”

“Take your time”

He was really nice, but. . .

What would be running through YOUR mind if you were the one holding the towel?

AND

If he put the towel in front of me, does that mean that he saw my ”stuff”?

Thanks!

I was doing this:

The answer in the following:

Answer by Cassidy101
Probably does mean he saw ur “stuff”. I wouldn’t think nothing about it tho, if I were a lifeguard, n ur a 13 yr old girl.

Answer by King Michael
He doesn’t like you. He’s a lifeguard, doing what he had too. Plus he’s way older than you. It would be weird if he liked you.

And yes, he saw your “Stuff”

Answer by Michael Smith
Unfortunately he saw you”stuff”, but he was doing his job trying to protect your privacy.

Answer by Josh Henry
Pretty sure he saw your “stuff”

Answer by Teddy
Well depending upon my age…
My age now (15) I’d think that was awesome and I’d try to sneak a look.
Anything over age of 18 I’d look away and wait until you fixed your top.

Good Luck!

Answer by Crimson_Moon_95
Yes he saw your “stuff”. And you’re fishing for compliments and its kinda annoying. You probably want people to say…
“Oh, he saw your stuff and was probably really turned on because you were so hot!”

LOL, hate when people do this.

Answer by Yes
He was doing his job and trying to make you feel more comfortable in an awkward situation. If he was over 17 then he probably didn’t think anything of you. Or at least he tried not to. But probably to him you’re just a little girl having fun. I would probably have to be 15 or younger to think anything dirty about you. Maybe he saw your chest, maybe not. But you’re only 13 so it really doesn’t matter.

Q&A: Where to stay in Costa Rica?
My boyfriend and I are flying to Costa Rica this month. We are staying for 10 days and want to stay on the Pacific side. We both love to have fun, are adventurous, surf, enjoy just enough night life, want to see the beaches and the mountains.

What city/town/area would you recommend staying in considering all those things. I don’t want to stay in towns that are too Americanized or commercialized but we don’t want to be completely alone either. Happy median?

The answer in the following:

Answer by Eliezer
I been to Costa Rica three times and loved every experience. Everytime I stayed in Costa Rica it was for 14 days spending one week at different locations. However, I do recommend heading to Manuel Antonio national park. They have the best stuff to do there like white water rafting, canopy tours, kayaking, hiking at the national park, and etc.. The beach is also great there, you can either spend time at the public beach near the entrance of the park, perfect for surfing and other water activities, or you can visit the beaches inside the park. I personally recommend the beaches inside the park since they are much more cleaner and have less people. Some coves are perfect for swimming and snorkling because the water is calm. I also recommend the night life on the main road only. I really liked this place I visited quite often called Bambu Jam and it’s right on the main road going up to Manuel Antonio. There is another town near there called Quepos but I do not recommend going there at night for any reason. Oh and there is also an outide market near the public beach where you can buy sourvenirs. If you know how to bargain you can get stuff there pretty cheap.

Answer by Cody
I was just in Costa Rica last week. I stayed at Punta Leona which is basically a basic community with a private beach. You should check it out. It was great for me.

Answer by Barb
Definitely Manuel Antonio

Many countries have been publishing claims of mysterios apocalyptic sounds since recently. We have no way of proving the authencity of some of them, however the universality of it and the observations of a few seismologist give a measure of credibility.
Question: Political Joke(and why do i need 20 letters)?
Montana Cowboy

A Montana cowboy was overseeing his herd in a remote mountainous pasture
when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud towards him.
The driver, a man in an Armani suit, Gucci shoes, Ray Ban sunglasses and
YSL tie, leans out the window and asks the cowboy, “If I tell you exactly
how many cows and calves you have in Your herd, will you give me a calf?”

The cowboy looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his
peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, “Sure, Why not?”

The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects
it to his Cingular RAZR V3 cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the
Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite navigation
system to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another
NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo. The
young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it
to an image processing facility in Hamburg , Germany . Within seconds, he
receives an email
on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and the data stored.
He then accesses a MS-SQL Database through an ODBC connected Excel
spreadsheet with e-mail on his Blackberry and, after a few
minutes, receives a response. Finally, he prints out a full-color,
150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet printer and
finally turns to the cowboy and says, “You have exactly 1,586 cows And
calves.”

“That’s right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves,” says the cowboy.

He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on amused as
the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.

Then the cowboy says to the young man, “Hey, if I can tell you exactly
what your business is, will you give me back my calf?” The young man
thinks about it for a second and then says, “Okay, why not?”

You’re a Congressman for the U.S.Government,” says the cowboy.

“Wow! That’s correct,” says the yuppie, “but how did you guess that?”

“No guessing required,” answered the cowboy. “You showed up here even
though nobody called you; You want to get paid for an answer I already
knew, to a question I never asked. You tried to show me how
much smarter than me you are; And you don’t know a thing about cows, this is a herd of Sheep.

“Now give me back my dog.”

It has to measure approx. 2 1/2 x2 . I am looking for a plastic like sleeve/bag….something I can slip the lollipop into. I do not want the one that is open and you just wrap it around the lollipop. I will be printing on it….the ingredient list. Where can I go for all of this? Please do not answer my question if you do not know, or are surfing for points. Please be detailed. Thank you so much.

The answer in the following:

Answer by Torn
you could use colored plastic wrapb or the regular stuff and hold it on with trash ties or bread ties.

Answer by thejanith
Go to Google or Dogpile (they’re both good) and look for wholesale food supply stores. I’ve found things through wholesalers that I can’t buy anywhere else. I’m sure they’ll have those.

Answer by Yo C
In the US you can get them at Michael’s Craft store or JoAnn fabrics. Wilton carries them online or at either of the stores above. If you have a cake decorating store near you they should carry them. You can also get them from party supply stores as they carry the pans and frostings for candy making. I am not sure about outside of the US though. Hope this helps.

Question: What is the best place to learn to surf at Cocoa Beach?
Okay, so my family and I going to Florida and Cocoa Beach. My cousin and myself want to learn how to surf while we are there. I searched online and all the prices are similar or the same. I was looking at Ron Jon’s Surf School, Bilt Surf and Skate, Cocoa Beach Surf Comany, and others where new begginers can learn to surf. So my question is what place is the best or where did you have a good experience?

The answer in the following:

Answer by kgfish
I don’t necessarily like Ron Jon and CBSC because they are mainly retailers and jokes when it comes to surfing. I suppose it’s great for beginners but look into surf lessons from cocoa beach instructors if you can. The pier is very beginner friendly cause everyone knows about it. 2nd light has really good waves except the surfers are a little bit territorial, not that bad just if your a beginner, watch where you paddle. 16th is very friendly but parking is small, which is the reason.

Answer by The HB Snake
If you really want to learn, contact Skip Savage. He is a member of the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame, one of the few NSSIA certified instructors in Cocoa Beach, and only does private or semi-private lessons. Also, he gives his lessons in a less crowded area rather than near Shepard’s Park where the big schools are located.

There is one certified instructor at Ron Jons and none at CBSC right now, plus they are oriented towards larger group lessons.

What do you think? Answer below!

Question: What is the purpose of wearing a wetsuit?
one reason why i hear people wear wetsuits is because if they fall in the water the water might pull off their swimsuit, so the wetsuit solves that problem.

are there other reasons for wearing a wetsuit?

The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!

The following is the answer:

Answer by coachpisco@verizon.net
Wet suits are somewhat bouyant and helps to keep one afloat in the water. They also provide a degree of warmth in cooler water. The cool water gets between the suit and your body. When that happens the heat of your body tends to warm the water a bit, making the water you’re in seem a little warmer.

Answer by Surfer
The make the water seem warmer and protect you from cold water.

They make you float somewhat because of the material they are made of.

You don’t hurt as bad when you take a bad fall surfing or hit the water hard.

Some people like the look of them, I personally don’t.

A few reasons I can think of

Answer by stranger person
in California you wold freeze without one

Answer by The Surfboard Man
People do not wear wetsuits to keep their swimsuits from falling off.

People wear wetsuits to stay warm when surfing in cold water.

The Surfboard Man
http://www.thesurfboardman.com/

Answer by John F
There is only one reason to wear a wetsuit. It is to keep you warm while, surfing, swimming, scuba diving etc. in cold water. I have been wearing wetsuits in cold water for over 40 years, and that’s all there is.

Answer by softball girl 105
there for keeping you warm while surfing.
i don’t really like them cuz there sorta weird looking but you gotta have one if you live in cali or you’ll freeze
my advice get one that looks good

Answer by matt.randalls
Wetsuits help to preserve body heat by trapping a layer of water against the skin; this water is consequently warmed by body heat and acts as an insulator. Water conducts heat away from the body approximately 25 times more efficiently than air, so an unprotected individual can succumb to hypothermia even in warm water on a warm day. Wetsuits are made out of closed-cell, foam neoprene, a synthetic rubber that contains small bubbles of nitrogen gas when made for use as wetsuit material. Nitrogen gas has very low thermal conductivity, so it reduces heat from the body (or the water trapped between the body and the wetsuit) from being lost to the water outside of the wetsuit. Some wetsuits of late have even begun to incorporate Merino wool and titanium fibers to add warmth characteristics, while keeping the thickness of the suit to a minimum. A wetsuit must have a snug fit to work efficiently; too loose a fit will allow water to escape from between the suit and the body, taking the body’s heat with it. Flexible seals at the suit cuffs aid in the water retention. Neoprene is very buoyant, helping swimmers to better stay afloat, and for this reason divers need to calculate extra weight values based on the thickness of their suit to achieve neutral buoyancy underwater. The suit loses buoyancy and thermal protection as the bubbles in the neoprene are compressed at depth. Originally, wetsuits were made only with raw sheets of foam-rubber neoprene that did not have any backing material. This type of suit required extra caution while pulling it on because the raw foam-rubber by itself is both fragile and sticky against bare skin. Stretching and pulling excessively easily caused these suits to be torn in half. This was somewhat remedied by thoroughly powdering the suit and the diver’s body with talc to help the rubber slide on more easily.

Backing materials first arrived in the form of nylon sheeting applied to one side of the neoprene. This allowed a swimmer to pull on the suit relatively easily since the tough nylon took most of the strain of pulling on the suit, but the suit still had the black sheet rubber exposed on the outside and the nylon was very stiff and rigid, limiting flexibility. A small strip reversed with the rubber against the skin could help provide a sealing surface to keep water out around the neck, wrists, and ankles.

In the early 1960s, the British Dunlop Sports Company brought out its yellow Aquafort neoprene wetsuit, whose high visibility was designed to improve diver safety. However, the line was discontinued after a short while and wetsuits reverted to their black uniformity. The colorful wetsuits seen today first arrived in the 1970s when double-backed neoprene was developed. Now the foam-rubber was sandwiched between two protective fabric outer layers, greatly increasing the tear-resistance of the material. An external layer also meant that decorative colors, logos, and patterns could be made with panels and strips sewn into various shapes. This growth from bare flat black rubber to full color took off in the 1980s with brilliant fluorescent colors common on many suits. Wetsuits come in different thicknesses depending on the conditions for which it is intended. The thicker the suit, the warmer it will keep the wearer. Because wetsuits offer significant protection from jellyfish, coral and other hazards, many divers opt to wear a thin suit which provides minimal insulation (often called a “bodysuit”) even when the water is warm enough to comfortably forego insulating garments. A thick suit is stiff, so mobility is restricted; at a certain thickness the suit would become impractical, which is why drysuits must be worn in particularly cold environments. A wetsuit is normally described in terms of its thickness. For instance, a wetsuit with a torso thickness of 5 mm and a limb thickness of 3 mm will be described as a “5/3″. With new technologies the neoprene is getting more flexible. Modern 4/3 wetsuits, for instance, may feel as flexible as a 3/2 of only a few years ago. Some suits have extra layers added for key areas such as the lower back.

Different shapes of wetsuit are available, in order of coverage:

A sleeveless vest, covering only the torso, provides minimal coverage. Some include an attached hood. These are not intended to be worn alone, but rather as an extra layer over or under a longer wetsuit.
A jacket covers the torso and arms, with little to no coverage for the legs. Some jackets have short leg sleeves like a shorty, others feature leg holes similar to a women’s swimsuit. A third style, the beavertail, which was quite popular until the 1980s, had a flap which closed over the crotch and attached at the front with a fastener.
A shorty or spring suit covers the torso and has short sleeves for the arms and legs. There are also forms of spring suits with long arms and short legs.
A long john or farmer john/jane (depending on the gender the suit is designed for) covers

which surf wax is better Sex Wax, or Sticky Bumps?

The answer in the following:

Answer by angela s
i like sticky bumps better

Answer by tony t
sex wax for the winter and then i use the sticky bumps warm and tropical

Answer by matt k
ive always used sex wax i like that better and it smells better too- the pink kind is awesome

Answer by h2ochild
Mrs. Palmers is the best.

Answer by J P
It’s all personal preference. I like sticky bumps more because it stays on my board more than my wetsuit. Sexwax totally coats my suit, and I have to reapply more often, even in colder temperatures.

Answer by markdavies87
Zoggs!

Answer by cityonedown
all waxes are not created equal..
most wax is formulated for specific water type and also for different uses.
all wax companies make a base coat and a top coat for their waxes and they are formulated to match in other words
sex wax base+sex wax top=good surfing
sex wax base+palmers top=bad surfing
as long as the water type is matched and a good base and top coat are applied it is personal preference.
I like sticky bumps because there is no reason for my surfboard to smell like a strawberry margarita

Answer by B L
I’ve used both, and Sticky Bumps is WAY better!!

Answer by Chantizzle
Sticky

Answer by alkalined84
i like sex wax… number one it smells good (ha) but they make different variations for cold AND warm water.

AND number two is that it floats, which is a life saver.
