Hi,I did the following:
Question: Beginner Surfer in Oahu?
I have two questions as a beginner. First is where is the best spot on the south shore in Oahu to learn with sandy bottoms or few reefs. The other is building my stamina mainly holding my breath. For some reason I seem to find reefs that jet out of the water and pin my leash down which keeps me down. I surf a an 8’6″ Spoiler by Oceanside.

The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!

the world renown Waikiki beach is the classic place to learn.
to build your stamina requires accumulation of time on your
surfboard. practicing paddling techniques prone and quick
stabs used for getting into the wave with a flutter kick like
movement with your legs. hello reefs dont stick out I recall
looking for a surfer who didnt listen and he died definitely wasnt a pretty sight…and holding your breath comes again with practice duck diving beneath a wave…so good luck…2bz.

Yep, Waikiki. Small waves, sandy bottom and fairly
safe. Like brudda said, you gotta practice all dat stuff
to get good. And don’t think you going be surfing pipeline
anytime soon either. It takes a long time to get good.
And try not to drown. Aloha!
