Abayas are very expensive in the west or if you don’t live in an Arab country. They come in all colours..black,brown,blue,grey. I don’t really wear abayas, just sometimes when I go to the mosque or answer the door for someone. You can wear anything under them, I wore PJ’s under them last night when I went for taraweeh, lol I was in a rush. You have to wear something under them! If the wind blows..your whole abaya will fly up!

I have a couple, but I dont wear them on a daily basis. I have the ones with velcro, that you can slip over your clothes. I usually wear some jeans and a shirt and then pull it over my clothes. Its quite comfy and I wear it when I go to the mosque. The ones I have, my grandma brought for me, from Iran. I’m sure if you go online you can find some good ones.

Well i don’t wear it always only sometimes at the mosque. Usually i wear normal clothes underneath cuz i take it off. But other times you can just wear anything as long as the bottoms are long then it shouldn’t be a problem. The top can even be a tank top.

I’m an American revert and i like to wear my abayas when I go out, when I go to work I can’t. I normally buy them in black just what im used to buying but I do have a few colored ones so I can wear them around home I think there comfortable, like the otehr sister said u can wear what ever u want under the abaya.
The good ones do cost pretty pricey I buy mine from Saudi normally because there light weight and are always beautiful I prefer the double layered type because they look elegant when you walk and when they flow……

walaikum salaam
well no, i dont wear it…atleast not YET..i plan to though
i just love em’
yeah if u live in the west (like me) they are expensive and sometimes in some countries (like mine) u dont find them at all…and even if u do that would be after a really really REALLY long search..lolz
well most women prefer to wear black..i dont know y
but u can wear other colours
the main purpose is to not to attract attention and cover ur body
oh…dont wear too bright or should i say shocking colours
eg. pink, red (if ur wearing burgandy/maroon thats okay)
well u ahve to wear ur clothing underneath…right?
i dont know if its a pant or whatever u choose
but if u r asking clothes PLUS a pant with the abaya
never heard of that b4
but there is a woman here..(only my mum and that woman..dont know who she is…wears abaya in the whole country)
she wears socks, gloves and covers upto her eyes
and here sleeves are covering down her wrist
it really looks nice
it isnt a problem though
if she likes it that way
i hope i helped

prophets wife ayesha sed wen one of the ayat in the Quran regarding hijab was introduced:that the women wer going out looking like crows!?
what does that mean?
wearing BLACK it means!
abaya hijab sorry to disapoint but should be black… a non atractive colour that draws no attension.
(and when u come home u can be christina agilerra foh your man!)
BTW
at the moment imin love with bahraini style abaya!
I wear Abaya and Jilbab
I bought MOST of mine from Palestine a couple of years ago, my mother in law sends me one every now and then (when people come from there) and I bought quite a few online from
http://www.ejilbab.com
I wear pants and a shirt underneath them.
The ones I bought online are a good quality, nothing too fancy. The only ones I have are black with some color to them of course. But at this website
http://www.hamidahsfashion.com
theres a brown and aqua one that I am planning on buying hopefully soon (my husband will go crazy I just bought four of them from ejilbab)
If you look online Im sure you will find anything you need, sure you might pay for quality but Id rather pay a little more and have it last, than pay a little bit and replace it after a couple of washes.
Good luck, I hope you find comfort in wearing Abaya, I love it and would not go back for anything!
