Question: Has anyone else traveled with People to People…?
I’ve been to Australia(Melbourne, Sydney and Wagga Wagga), Europe(Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Russia) and South America(Peru and Chile). It was such a life changing experience!! I had so much fun and learned a lot. My favorite country was Australia because I finally got to go surfing and we went to the Great Barrier Reef.

Where have you been to? Do you still talk to the people you traveled with? What country was your favorite?
We saw a lot of the countries on my Europe trip. We went to a lot of places and I think it was worth the 6k. The hotel, the food, etc. was excellent. I really enjoyed the trip.

I live in Ireland and have been to Scotland, Spain, Mallorca, England and other Spanish Islands. I travel to Mallorca with the same people every year. A familey from Scotland that were friends with. You’re lucky you get to travel so much. Life is too expensive in Ireland to be travelling a lot.

I can’t pick a favourite! Everywhere is so different but wonderful.

a LOT of my family has. I’m one of the only people who hasn’t. I think it’s because everything’s always so busy.

Unfortunately, again, I’ve never left the country icon sad Has anyone else traveled with People to People...? I will this winter though icon smile Has anyone else traveled with People to People...?

I am officially jealous of your life! When I was in middle school I got a letter every year inviting me to travel with People to People. The first year was Australia, and the reason my parents said I couldn’t go was because money was really tight (I was still in gymnastics, which is a VERY expensive sport). The second year was to go to Great Britain, but my mother threw the letter away before I even knew about it and then told me about the trip months later. The last year I got the letter, they were going to China. I must say my parents did actually give it some thought, but in the end it was a big NO.
However, last fall my younger brother got the letter and they were going to Australia. And my parents said he could go!!! I was pretty pissed. They went to the meeting and got all the info about it and everything. And when I was talking to my mom about she said the real reason she’d let my brother go to Australia and not me, was because I was a girl! And apparently the world is too dangerous for girls!!! But my brother is afraid of everything and has no ambition, so he isn’t going to Australia. He threw away the greatest opportunity of his life. The loser.
Yeah so, uh, sorry for totally ranting. You are so lucky you got to have those experiences and travel like that.

I live in the US, but I’ve also been to Canada multiple times and to the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean icon smile Has anyone else traveled with People to People...? Next year I am going on the school trip to Spain and the following year I am going to Costa Rica for a school trip! And I may go on the school trip to Greece next year too, but the government isn’t good right now or something so my parents don’t want me to go!

I think I got invited to a People to People trip but I never acted on it… Maybe I will reconsider going for not this summer but next summer! A friend of mine went to China through People to People and I think she really liked it!
