Hi,I did the following:
Question: Does living on base in the Marine Corps still allow me to surf early in the morning (Pendleton or MCB Hawaii)?
I am putting a ton of thought into the Corps. I am aware that I would not be able to surf while deployed but I am in love with surfing and am just weighing my options.

The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!

You are free to do as you please during your free time as long as you have no duties scheduled and as long as you are in your appointed place of duty at the stated hour.
And MCB Hawaii has its own beach on base which is one of the top beaches in Hawaii and it is for military only.

Hello “Cool Hand Luke!”
When and IF the Marines take you into the Corps you are not going to be getting up at “O-dark thirty” to go surfing!
You will be getting up for formation!
If you want to surf in the mornings you had better schedule 6 five day leaves during the year so that you will be off-duty and can get away from base and check into a motel and then go surfing.
That’s about all the “hang ten” you might see in 4 years.
