Question: ESL Teaching in Southeast Asia?
I’m thinking about teaching ESL in Southeast Asia. I’ve got two years of experience, and I’m looking for a cool place, preferably near the water (ideally near surfing spots). I’m looking for a fairly safe place with good food, unique culture, and hopefully a little removed from tourists. I’m looking at Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Any ideas?

So far, Thailand is the safest among all four – no insurgents or terrorists – but do be wary of political instability and rallies.

Vietnam should be cool but there are more waters in Indonesia. Indonesians are friendly too.
