Question: Visiting Costa rica during rainy season(end October into November). What is the frequency of rain per day?
My friends and I are are thinking of going to Puntarenas, Costa rica (Hermosa) for halloween. Only me and another friend surf so wanted to make sure it didnt rain the whole trip for rest of friends as I have heard reports of it raining for consecutive days. Can anyone tell me about their experience during this time?

the frequency is crazy it rains all day well its sunny in the morning but at 12:00 oclok or closer it start to rain could be that way for 3 days in a row.
el tiempo aqui es loco a veces no llueve , pero cuando llueve pasa asi todo el dia, talvez en la mañana se salva un poco.

it all depends on the area and how lucky you are.
Sometimes you’ll get lucky and have a day full of sunshine. but that only happens every blue moon.
here in upper Escazu it rains EVERY single day. we have beautiful mornings, then in the afternoon it pours. Maybe wait until it settles down a little so you’ll have a good trip.

I wouldn’t recommend Playa Hermosa, that is a 100% surfing only beach. You would have a much better time in Manuel Antonio where the waves are fun for surfing, yet there are great swimming portions of the beach as well.
The weather is usually rain in the afternoon and you have great mornings and evenings.
Plus, if you stay at a fun hotel, you won’t have to worry about the rain, you can just duck into a cool bar, and have some beach front drinks!

September and October are the rainiest months of the year. It can rain all day, not only in the afternoon. And it can rain for consecutive days. But it can be nice with no rain for a couple of days. Like the other person said, the weather is crazy in CR. You really can’t predict anything with certainty.
