Question: What’s the Best Day/Place to Surf and Snowboard in a Single Trip?
My buddies and I have a ritual on the first day of Daylight Saving time to make a trip to the local mountains in the morning and snowboard and then power back home for a surf.
Does anybody else do this and if so when and where do you go to make it happen. The logistics from Big Bear Mountain to Encinitas make both experiences somewhat limited so any advice would be appreciated.

I lived in Huntington Bch and went to Wrightwood in the morning and surfed in the afternoon. Back in the 80s. I think your traffic sucks a lot more now, though. Harder to do.

Taranaki ,west coast of the North Island, New Zealand. The mountain with a ski-field is only 10-15 km from the coast. A peninsular with reef breaks that catches swell from different directions.

I know Californians will laugh, but…. You can be in the Poconos in the morning and drive to the New Jersey shore in less that three hours. And please, don’t put down Jersey winter time waves until you have ridden them.
