Question: Do you think humanity is soon to collapse upon on itself, with the increase of technology being so rapid?
It seems technology is causing humanity to fall back on itself. The rates of increase in technology have risen just as much in the last half a century, as they have for hundreds if not thousands of years before that.
If you can be bothered, find out the increments between technological advancements over say the last 1000 years, and put them together into some sort of chart/graph and see how it looks. Then go into the future a little, following the same path…

I’m not making an infographic for you, but I agree with you concerning the rapidly increasing rate of technological advancement we’re experiencing. I’d say with this there’s bound to be considerable social issues that will arise and have arisen. That being said, I don’t think the human species has anything to worry about concerning possible extinction.

Such crisis (es) is nothing new for the Indian tradition. Philosophy in India had foreseen such things and also have solved them, mysteriously though for cognitivity, they speak of ‘redeemers’ or avtars taking place from time to time as and when things go off the rail. So the point is that, our own societies shall make good men so capable to make corrections and rectifications from time to time as the society, humanity and civilisation shall come to face problems. If you look back to history, you can see many evidences to this, and the very fact that human beings survive itself is another proof.
