Q&A: EASY POINTS!!! How do I get motor oil out of my workout mats?
Well the story goes my dad is trying to change the filter or something and of course forgets to siphon out the oil and it pours all over the mats. He tried some Dawn soap and a hose to get out the oil and that didn’t work. I reasoned that mabye if you soak the mats in some warm/hot water with Dawn soap that that would work. Am I right? Or is there anyway I could save the mats, or should we just get new ones?

The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!

I have had good luck with over the counter products such as Oxy-clean (and equivalents) in removing oil stains from various materials. Rub it in with warm water, allow to sit for a minute or so, and then wash it out. Repeat as necessary.
