Question: How will adding a matte pressed powder on top of a tinted moisturizer change the finish?
If I use a very glowy, dewy tinted moisturizer, how will applying a matte pressed powder on top change the finish? Will it make the finish satin, or totally matte? Or will it still look basically dewy? Thanks

It all depends on the moisturizer you use if its really thick and you apply a powder yes it will make your face totally matte and a little ashy also depending on how much powder you apply.

It will mattify the whole look but if you still want your skin to look a bit dewy through the powder I suggest just powdering the areas that you get oily, like the t-zone which is the forehead, nose and chin and leave the rest alone so that the cheeks still look dewy and glowy and it makes you look more fresh.

If you want to keep the same finish, and not get rid of the glowing dewy look, I would suggest using a translucent powder (meaning, no shade) just to set the tinted moisturizer and keep your skin non oily all day. This won’t alter the shade or finish at all, except for maybe a little less shiny. A lot of mineral makeup companies make great translucent powders, like bare minerals and physicians formula.
However, if you are looking for more coverage from your powder I would think it would become more of a smooth, less dewy effect, all depending on how much powder you use
hope I helped!
